Project Design
We can help you no matter where you are in the design and planning stages of your project, whether you are just beginning the information gathering process or already have a completed set of plans from an architect.

    Need Architectural Design
We offer design services through an experienced, registered architect.  We have a well established design-build process that takes you from concept through detailed construction drawings.  Learn more about our design/build process.

    Have Architectural Plans
We are happy to work with your design professional or provide a proposal based on your completed plans and specifications.  We meet with the homeowner to review the project in depth and discuss goals and objectives including project scope, expectations, budget and schedule and provide an evaluation of these key areas.  Our next step is a thorough plan review and proposal.

During the introductory and proposal phases, we provide you with ample opportunities to get to know us, understand how we operate and gain confidence in our expertise.

Pre-Construction Planning
Once your plans are on their way to completion or you have them in hand, we can initiate the planning process.

Together, we make the final decisions on key materials and finish items such as windows, doors, kitchen and bath cabinetry, flooring, tile, etc.  We provide a finish item checklist so you may then select or confirm specific items. We provide a selection of trusted local product vendors to assist during this process.

Project schedules are established with timelines for each phase from commencement through punchlist completion.

The construction contract is drafted reflecting product decisions and reviewed until all items are identified and confirmed.

We obtain all required building approvals and permits. The information gathering process for permitting typically begins during design when any potential issues can be identified and addressed.  If special zoning or historic and conservation approvals and permits are required, we can help you to navigate those processes, as we work with engineering firms and conservation specialists on a regular basis.

Project logistics and expectations are communicated, including equipment and material staging, project access, safety policies, staff and subcontractor guidelines.

Client communications procedures are set up, including establishing regular meeting times and preferred channels of on-going communications; email, telephone, fax, etc. Typical meeting line items include; schedule and progress, product decisions, project billing, homeowner questions, feedback and any desired changes.

Construction
Although the description of the construction process is brief, it is indeed the most anticipated and dynamic part of the project!  After all the preparation, activity starts and demolition and excavation work is performed, foundations are set, framing goes up and the project begins to take shape. During this phase, our team of experienced carpenters and specialized tradesmen work together to create the finished product. We utilize quality materials and observe construction best practices.  And your project manager is on the job to ensure timely completion, quality control and regular communication.

Project Follow-up and Warranty
At the conclusion of the construction phase, we address any final items and review the project as a whole.  We provide a one-year limited warranty on our work so should issues arise later on, we will be there to resolve them.
